Gloria Hazell Derby wopila tanka for sharing this…. Riders
and singers will be covered for free. The money helps offset
the costs this year and we are collecting donations for warm
items and pre packaged snacks as well. There will be a donation
box at the site.
We also will be serving breakfast to the riders only in the
morning. Madison Area Stands Together [ MAST ] is providing
volunteers and financial support, South Dakota Urban Indian
Health has donated sage bundles and cedar for the riders and
to make cedar tea. Dakota State University’s Equity Diversity
and Inclusion committee has provided financial support for food
this year and DSU’s Native American Student Association
have been working hard to ensure the event is ready to go. We
truly appreciate the opportunity to host the riders each year
