Reading the names of the women who were forced marched to Fort Snelling.

Each woman had a stake with her name on it placed in a circle at the area where they were forced to camp.

Continuing to read the names.

Can you imagine how the women must have felt when they arrived here, cold, tired, scared, hungry, today we have warm coats, then they didn't. This area is desolate even today, it had to have been worse then.

You probably recognise them from this site.
