The Amazon
Rain Forests
This shows
the Amazon RainForest, today, August 22nd 2019. It has
been burning for over 2 weeks now and it is spreading
rapidly. A spokesman said there are over 71,000 fire
spots, places where it has started and continues to
burn. Below are some more photos, showing the extent
of the burn.
'So many Climate emergencies worldwide, it's hard to
keep up. But Amazon Rainforest burning is stand-out
global disaster. Every red dot below represents a significant
fire.' John Gibbons on Twitter
Probably
most of us know that a burn is not always a bad thing,
once an area has been burned new life comes about pretty
quickly, sometimes controlled burns are done just to
achieve this new life. However so much is burning in
the Amazon area that it will take many years to recover,
if ever. The Amazon is where 20% of our Oxygen comes
from, so how will this efffect us in the future I wonder.
It seems
Brazilian laws were relaxed allowing farmers to use
more forest land for their crops and cattle, and so
they started to clear the areas of trees using fire,
and all hell has broken loose. I wonder if these people
know what they are doing or are they only thinking of
lining their own pockets. Their air must be awful down
there how are they and their families and communities
managing to breath? To get money they must kill themselves,
that makes a lot of sense now doesn't it!!!
President
Bolsonaro of Brazil is accusing Environmental groups
of setting light to the trees to make him look bad!
Yes, well really? I mean that is the sort of things
Environmentalists do now isn't it? For what reason would
they do that? He has no proof of that he says. He just
believes it!
