Merry Christmas!

Today is Christmas day and the Ride moves 20 miles in to Mankato. They go to the Land of Memories Park, where they round up and as long as someone videos it and sends it in we can see how many riders there are for the final day tomorrow.

The Anderson family will be putting Breakfast on.
The Judson group will be doing lunch.
At 6pm the New Creation Church will be doing Dinner at 1124 River Drive Mankato

The riders will be staying tonight at the Best Western in Mankato.
I don't have a location for the Horses home for the next 2 days, but it has been confirmed. They will know where to go.

Well done to all Riders, horses and support team who have participated in this year's Ride. Thanks to the people who have done food today and for the past days.

I was gifted this beauty last night from some very dear friends, and elders!

First prayers sent up today for a victorious journey! I can only imagine what this journey has been like for those actually there. I often imagine, the last few miles are probably the most difficult. All of feelings,thoughts,emotions and Prayers that have been carried, just waiting to be shared and released at such a sacred spot. A place in our history that is so dark, so sad,and is now a place of forgiveness, healing and love. A place that reminds us to never forget, to never let history repeat itself in such a way,and a place that we gather for healing to begin in person,in spirit,in thought.

I don't think words can describe what an honor it has been to follow this year's ride,for the first time! Thank you for sharing your stories, your pictures, you hearts, your words, and your teachings.
For as we all allow the healing to unfold we stand strong as one! A wall of love, honor, and respect that no gov't, nor people, shall ever break again! I love each and every one of you! Stay safe Today! Be proud! Be strong! Know you are never alone in this!

This is my 2nd year from following afar. I love the new format that Gloria Hazell Derby came up with this year, a daily post with each day's comments. That way the riders can go back & read the love & support given them along the way.
I come from a different culture - Tlingit, Alaska Native, but as Indigenous people - we are one.
May our Ancestors bless the riders tomorrow as these Warriors make the final ride. My heart is happy to see our people turn a tragedy into a yearly event of remembrance.
