Continued prays for a safe ride for Riders and their horses. May Creator protect and give them strength to face all the obstacles they may encounter

The gear that is worn today on the Ride. This is of course Covid 19 related. History is being made, yet again!
All around the world we are having to protect ourselves and others by wearing a mask, on the Ride it is no different.
Let's hope that we will beat this Pandemic real soon, so that we can walk in a safer and more aware, thoughtful, caring World!
Stay safe everyone where-ever you are!

The Ride will go 23 miles to Morton today. A total of 259 miles

Judy Markus
Is there a way to watch the ride live?

Cece Walter

Judy Markus if you follow Todd Finney he posts some live feeds during the ride. It is not recorded all day however.

Judy Markus It is a sacred Ride and so not many techy things are allowed. You may see a short video on here or the web site but no, it has never been filmed live! Even the Dakota 38 movie doesn't film it all.

Changes

When the Ride first began, we were lucky to get a few snapshots from people along the way, often grainy, blurry, or not particularly aimed in the right position, but we were pleased to get them. I answered someone's question (to the left) about watching the Ride live and spoke about 'techy' things. So imagine my surprise while going through all of the photos that have come in, I noticed a couple of today's photographers. The modern way of taking 'snapshots'. Continuing through the photos I then saw the Traditional; Josette and some of the women in their ribbon skirts!
Modern and traditional working together!

A modern set up of cameras, no problem of a wobble on these stands!

Don Dapper
I have the staff out again. I bring it out every year to pray for all the Riders. I always add something new to it every year. I'm not there in person but I'm always there in my heart and spirit.

Does anyone know what bird feathers are all present on the staff, and if each has a different meaning?
