2013 Pipestone Corral

Dakota 38 + 2 Memorial Ride 2017

Today is a rest day in Morton (Lower Sioux) for the Riders and support team.

It is day 13 of the Ride and since the first day on the 10th December we have added 700 new members to the group as Supporters . Welcome to you all! Getting on for 4,000 members, by the end of the Ride we will probably have reached that number.

Today the Riders will be fed at breakfast by the Dakota Woman's Society/Columbus family.
For lunch they will be looked after by the Lower Sioux Wisdom Steps
For dinner the O'Keefe family will be cooking a meal.

Thanks to all of those people.

The Farrier will again be at the Darwin Strong Ranch for the horses

Have a good rest guys and Win!

Morning blessings to all! We are in the season of releasing all that does not serve our highest good. The clearing of negativity in our lives so we may receive the blessings that are to come. May the copal take away our hurts and sorrows during this time, lighten our burdens, and bring us a beautiful calming,so that we hear the great spirits, are guided by love, and allow for our healing to continue! May today be a day of clearing for all to allow for a calming loving, energy to join in tomorrow's ride!
May Creator embrace you all with warmth, safety, and blessings today!
Love,honor,respect,and gratitude
A'ho

Jessica Sjogren is feeling grateful.

I was incredibly honored to be able to be a part of the Dakota 38+2 this year. It was definitely the most humbling, emotional and educational experience I have ever had. I met a lot of interesting/inspirational people. No one felt like strangers, it felt like one big family. Everyone's kindness, patience and understanding was amazing. Even if my time with everyone turned out to only be 2 days. I consider all of them my family. No one made me feel like a failure or an embarrassment or an outsider. Even though I may of felt that way.
Unfortunately my time on the ride may of been cut short because of my knees (had surgery on both knees august 30th) I do plan on returning next year, stronger and better.
I appreciate everything everyone has done for me. Bill Wells for putting up with me, letting me ride along in the truck and letting me ride his horse Renegade (or at least attempt to) and for finding me another horse to ride. Even though I didn't make it through the whole 4th leg to Birch Coolie, Joe (the horse I am on in the picture) was a good fit for me, but my knees just wouldn't work right when we would trot or galop.
Sharlene Whiteley McGilvray, Josette Peltier, Ken FourCloud, Wilfred Keeble, Tuff and Elvis thank you for making me feel like part of the family.
To all of you that I met during the ride I consider you all my family. Please feel free to add me if you would like.
Wishing you all the best in life, please stay safe and warm. Many blessings sent your way. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
