Clarence Street, from the bridge to the Market Square, and back to the Bridge!
(pictures from Google Earth)

This is the Staines Bridge end, the junction of Clarence Street and Bridge Street.
The white corner House, (1835,) was at first the Literary and Scientific Institute, and then the Library, and Middlesex Chronicle Newspaper, before becoming the Headquarters Of The Showmen's Guild in 2004. Ardent is next, A printers Kall Kwik, is next door to it, and then Dale & Newberry (Solicitors).
Dale and Newberry on the left, next to a the Clarence Street Tattoo and Piercing Parlour.
The Bridge over the Colne looking towards Church Street. The building to the left has homes in it but no shop.
An unused shop is next to the Colne River Bridge, (many years ago that shop was a florists.) then on the other side of the bridge is Van Elken Hairdressers and Vegan Pind (NEW 2022) Plant Based Restaurant & Bar.
Mail Boxes Etc, is next to the Cypress Grill a takeaway, X Press Newsagents and then Rowberry Morris (Solicitors) and Moda Cut, a men's hairdressers.
The hairdressers is next to a MWA Cafe, and then comes the Missing Geek; a game shop, a couple of closed shops, (due to Covid,) Tam's Barbers, and Momo's Japanese Cafe at the end. That end building was the first to get electricity in Staines!

And back down to the Bridge

This is the new part of the road, Mallard Court, a whole group of shops in the same building with apartments upstairs, it goes all the way around into Market Square to where the old Jewellers, Edwards was. The one who only used old currency. I will list the shops separately below.
This is the rounded window building of old in front of the Town Hall. It is now an Estate Agents, Chancellors.
This is the Oasis Estate Agents, it goes all the way back. Right at the back and around the corner is the Reed Employment Agency I will try to get a photo of this. I was just informed about it.
Kims Nail Shop
Warhammer Games and Jericho Hairdressers
S.J. Smith, Estate Agent, Colne Lodge, (apartments) and a new takeaway, The Greek Souvlaki. and where Pizza Express was, 7BONE (NEW 2022) Burger Restaurant.
The bridge over the Colne looking towards the Thames. The building to the left was Pizza Express which closed down during the Covid shut downs.

And then we are back to the Bridge again, where Bridge House Hotel stood and then the Regal Cinema. Now it is a luxury apartment block called
'Thames Edge Court', plus a few restaurants underneath, including Roshni's Indian Restaurant, Legit Burgers (a takeaway)
,
2022 - NEW location: Thames Side Brewery & Tap Room
Beer and Pies, and the Slug & Lettuce cocktail bar.

Clarence Street was made when the Bridge was built, along with Bridge Street.
