2020 (Virtual Ride)

Due to Covid 19 the Ride is not happening this year, so I am making up a virtual Ride from previous year's Ride's photos and comments.

Hopefully the Ride will be back on in 2021

Day 10
Saturday, December 19th

Prayer of the day

Blessings relatives, Creator we thank you for the love, support, safety, and strength of our riders, staff, voluteers, and horse nation. Please surround everyone on this journey with a day of respect and honor. Give them all they need, help ease the pains, the sorrow, and the weight. They are traveling their first day in the state where many more are gathered with support. Help them feel that. May Grandfather Sun warm all bodies with enough energy to carry them through their cold nights. May Grandmother moon watch over them in their slumber, and the star nation be their messengers, until the new light shines again.

All the way from Australia...my mother was Canadian.
I am of Mi'kmaq, lnuit, Beothuck, Scottish, lrish, Norse and English heritage...l'm a mutt. By some miracle l am also a pipe carrier because Wallace Black Elk junior saw fit to bring a pipe to Australia. Some day l hope l am allowed to join you all in the ride.
For now, just know there is someone on the other side of the world following you, praying for you and supporting.
Aho my elders, brothers and sisters.

My maternal ancestors came from Germany to the Great Lakes Area...I don’t know when. I’m sorry for the great suffering they created....I just pray there can be healing for this whole country. And the whole continent.
Nina Fox - 2019
We are in Pipestone, Minnesota however our day has not come to a end. It takes a lot of time and energy to take care of the horses. So sometime the support staff needs to blow off a little steam. While watering the horses.

Thank you for the inspiration, and careful consideration of the ride this year. More of a spiritual journey this year. As a European descended ally I am using this time to unlearning the false historical narrative of where I live & grew up next to the MN River Valley. Study of Bdote & the Dakota US War, conversation with indigenous neighbors, the journey forward in our faith-based collaborations. Many thanks to the Sacred Sites tours and MN Council of churches discussion series. Thank YOU for ongoing information & inspiration.

How about a tobacco offering about now?!!
