My prayers for everyone on the Dakota 38+2 ride. Woplia for the loving sacrifices that each of you have made. Courtland Minnesota stands out in my mind. Speaking for myself, this is a place where I could feel the heaviness of what had taken place on the land and feel the presence of many spirits. Prayers and love to all.

Good morning all. As the day begins prayers have been lifted upon the winds for safe, cleansing, healing moments today. A day that will surely be a roller coaster of emotion.
You have all made a journey that is for healing; healing and reconciliation for so many, for a time in our history that was so dark and unnecessary. A journey that is allowing us all to have better days to come. I hope you know many are proud, beyond proud, of you. Those that still walk upon Mother Earth and our ancestors know that Creator has heard your prayers, knows the needs we have to heal. Knows the needs we have to keep the circle strong, to walk our paths, to celebrate our life, and to have our strong forest. You are our earthly examples of this.

Stay strong, always be the strong loving warriors you are. Never doubt that this is a good thing. Have no doubts that this is a good journey you have made.

May today be surrounded with love, honour, respect, and all the blessings coming to you be received.

May everyone stay safe. The weather is getting colder, but you are changing lives in a good way. Changing cold hearts to warm spaces for love to enter, minds opening for truth to enter, and right actions to lead people on new journeys.

May our ancestors know they are not forgotten. Honoured in a good way,and wrongs are trying to be righted as best they can.

Emmett Eastman's 89th Birthday

Gloria Hazell Derby This photo was taken in 1997 at the Dakota 38 + 3 Reconciliation powwow in MN. Emmett had just run through the gate and a crowd of us were waiting for him to arrive and then we ran alongside of him to the arbor. I am in the greyish top and my late husband Chuck Derby is running next to me. (on my right). We were on the Committee at the time. Happy Birthday Emmett my friend, Miyakuye Oyasin.	Bruno Winkler Nita anpetu waste, Tunkasila. We (my wife and me) met Emmett in 2002 in Pipestone MN. We had a awesome talk with him. Good to know people like him. He gave us many inspirations for life. Thank you!
