2020 (Virtual Ride)

Due to Covid 19 the Ride is not happening this year, so I am making up a virtual Ride from previous year's Ride's photos and comments.

Hopefully the Ride will be back on in 2021

Day 4
Sunday, December 13th

Prayer of the day
Prayer from Mo
Blessings to all on this journey. We are in a cycle of longer darkness, colder days, and less activity. Deep inside we have an understanding, a hope and a vision that our days will become brighter, our hearts warmer and our actions bring healing.
The visions are unfolding before us. Let our brothers and sisters continue this journey in safety, strength and peace. Allow love, honour and respect to surround them as they travel with and for our ancestors. Allow the strength and weight of the horse nation to be felt across the lands where damage was done to be filled with healing. Let us reconcile a little more with each hoof placed upon the earth.
Love, honour, and respect

Words of the Day

Abby Lulabelle Peawhistle (2014)
The Ancestors are smiling as the horses' hooves dance along the trail as the fearless Warriors carry all our Prayers for peace, love, healing and reconciliation. Be mindful of the Ancestors' whispers that come to you during this journey, as they contain the Wisdom we need to guide us in our daily walk. In Prayer and Gratitude, for ALL those involved in this Sacred Cemermony.... Blessings

'Anita DuMarce With much respect to Anita, Billy Ray had a very powerful aura to him that captured my attention throughout the documentary. His words and expressions were compelling. After I watched the doc I kept thinking about it for days, which is why I joined this group. May he Rest In Power and may this memorial ride bring peace and solace as intended.

May your Ancestors smile on you throughout this ride. May you see and feel their freedom and joy for your healing. May we all be in the moment of love and trust. It's all we have.

Thankyou so much Gloria....I have followed this ride from Australia and am always in awe of the courage and commitment of both horses and riders to travel in the conditions they face....this year is different but we will all be there in spirit.

The riders, the Sunkan Wakan, the photos, postings of prayers, hopes, dreams are spiritually nourishing to so many across the world. Our hearts are with you every step of the way. We send our love, light our candles, incense & feel you in our swelling hearts, which beat the same rhythm regardless of colour. Blood is red. Words are not enough.

Wishing every rider a safe journey to Mankato and gratitude to all who are helping and feeding the group along the way. Every step is a step of healing and a step towards unity between races. Will do my thing from here for all of you and the horses. Respectfully and with Love - ELIF

May the Shunkan Wankan be
blessed on this Sacred ride. May Tunkashina Wankan bless the riders and founders Jim Miller and Alberta Iron Cloud Miller on their journey across South Dakota towards Mankato, Minnesota. May we all remember that this is a "Healing" journey for our Native people and the Non Native people as well . So we can all forgive the atrocities, forget the hurt and love One Another and then and only then can we all be HEALED!!! Hugz - Patt

Ever since I watched the video, I have been praying for you on this annual tribute journey. I feel this should be seen in all schools in the country. I sent a link to every TV channel I could in SW PA and a few others (27 different places) and requested they consider placing this in their lineup. No responses of course, but the fact that so many are following you now, it will spread everywhere. Many prayers for riders and horses, and the ones who help you along the way.

This is such a wonderful and powerful, in it’s own right, representation of the ride. THANKS!
