2020 (Virtual Ride)
Due to Covid 19 the Ride is not
happening this year, so I am making up a virtual Ride from previous
year's Ride's photos and comments.
Hopefully the Ride will be back
on in 2021

Day 8
Thursday, December 17th
Prayer of the day
Mo Nichols -
2017
Good Morning all! A much needed day of rest for all! May you
be able to release all you need to today so that your next re-mount
is a little bit lighter! May the day allow for connecting with
others, those there, those in spirit, and those sending their
love and prayers from around the world.
This day Grandfather Sun is uniting
all colors to rise together as one!
Following this journey for the first time, I am humbled, grateful,
and honored to be part of this even through this device I type
on, this year.
I am with you in spirit. Sending
prayers and smoke up humbly asking for you to receive what you
need.
Thank you for the true history
you are sharing, lessons you are teaching, and willingness to
continue! May your bodies, spirits, and those of the four legged
all rest well today! For tomorrow you will continue to ride
like the loving warriors you are!
Much love, honor, respect, and
gratitude from Texas!
A'ho

My prayers of continued healing and acceptance for all involved
in this Sacred Wokiksuye.
This pic is looking Souwesterly on the coast of Maine.
Its a few miles from where Jim met a young film maker
who said yes.
The film is a physical manifestation of the people
who participate in this Hallowed recognition of an atrocious
event. The mass hanging of Dakota people.
Its now in its 16th year. (4x4=16.)
This adds to, after this year, 256 actual days of riding, running,
cars, trucks, sleeping bags, hay, horses, sweat, tears, laughter,
smiles, bad burgers, Love.
Im grateful for all who are or have in the past, contributed
physically, spiritually, financially.
This year requires I use my past ceremony practice to support
my prayers today.
The Ceremony has prepared me to love today and move along with
this beautiful experience.
We and you will be together again.
Aho, Peace my Sisters and Brothers.

I am so very proud of the wikoskalaka from Cansayapi owanke
who have been part of the ride since 2005. Gianna Strong,
Vanessa Good Thunder and the others have brought pride
and strength to their Dakota people. They have become
ambassadors for the younger generation and I am so happy
that they will be on the Ride again this year. Their choices
to be strong Dakota winyan on the Red Road is truly a
blessing for us all!

Prayers for renewed zeal and endurance and a new fresh
second wind of the spirit as you resume the journey...
may Creator keep His hand upon you all, the four-legged
as well as the two and may you be blessed with His favor
and protection and with an infilling of brotherly love
in unity of the spirit as you are each individually tested
along the way over coming any evil with good Aho!
